Sony has officially announced its new mirrorless camera, and it has in the consumer electronics fair IFA in Berlin this week.
The Sony NEX-5R is equipped with a CMOS sensor Exmor APS HD 16.1, and uses the new autofocus technology "Fast AF hybrid" from Sony, along with the ability to run new applications of Sony PlayMemories Camera Apps .
Applications available at launch, as well as "Direct Upload, include Picture Effect + Pro Bracket, Multi Frame NR, Photo Retouch, and Smart Remote Control. A variety of other applications, including "Time-Lapse" and "Cinematic Photo" are also planned for release.
The autofocus Fast Hybrid AF is designed to use AF detection points for detecting the phase 99 of the focused subject distance, and rapidly lock focus on it, by combining both phase contrast and detection.
The NEX-5R is the first Sony camera to be equipped with Wi-Fi and interchangeable lenses, allowing you to easily share your images via social networks.
The Sony NEX-5R hits stores in October and will be available in white, silver or black and will retail for around $ 750 with a 55mm lens or $ 650 for the body only.
